SaveIt for Seniors

I am starting this blog to help Seniors and those that are frugually minded with their grocery bills. There are many stores that have weekly flyers and it is a pain in the backside for many to go through these documents to find if there are any deals they wat to spend their limited grocery money on.

On the other hand I love doing this and want to share my finds with others in the same position as I am in. I will put the links to the different stores in the blog so that anyone can go and look to see if there are other items being offered that they might like to buy.

I will list the best deals (as I see them) by each of the links so that people can verify that I am telling them the correct information. (check and verify as one of my favourite fictional characters likes to say).

As this is the first instalment of this blog please bare with me as I go through my growing pains and remember that nothing is perfect in the beginning but practice make perfect (as my mother liked to tell me when I complained about things not being perfect the first or even the tenth time I did something)

Save-on-Foods

Beef Brisket  for $5.59 a pound. I am told this is a very good price.

Mini Cucumbers for $5.99 per 907g but if you have the Save-On-Foods My Offers they are $4.99.

Pork Roast Should Blade for $35.23 Average price for each one but it is a buy one get one free so you would get two for the price of one.

Kraft BBQ sauce for .99 each but they only have three kinds listed as being on sale at this price.

Club House La Grille Seasoning is buy one get on free. The average price is $7.99 but you are getting two at this price. This makes it a good deal. They have 37 different ones listed.

Heinz Pickle Ketchup for $2.99 for 425ml bottle. Not sure about pickle ketchup but it is a good deal for Heinz ketchup.

Cracker Barrel Shredded Cheese for $5.99. There are 13 different various blends listed.

Breyers ice cream 1.41 litres for $3.99. There is a limit of 4 for this price.

Dan-D Pak Cashews 500g for $7.99

The Hot Deals have items that are $1, $2, $2, $4, and $5. You need to look to see is there are any of these deals that you might like.

Member Only Deals - you wil need to have a PC Optiums card to get the deals. These deals also offer extra points. There are five pages of these deals from snacks, meat, seafood, bakery, drinks, candy, breakfast items to makeup, skin care, dental care to batteries and pots and pan sets. Some offer extra points but others offer a price reduction for being a member.

Cantalope for $3.97 each

Tru Fru Chocolate cover fruit (frozen) for $5.49 with a limit of 4. Great snack.

Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps for $4.50 for members and $5.50 for non members. Either way it is a great price for a tasty snack.

Campbell's Broth for $1.47 each with a limit of 4

Tide or Gain liquid 1.86/2.6 litres, pods 18/23/31, Downy or Gain fabric softener. 2.6 liters, Bounce Dryer Sheets 120/200, Scent Booster 301/379g. for $8,97. Keep in mind that these are for selected varieties and not for all. You will need to check carefully to make sure you are getting the deal.

Oikos yogurt tubs for $5.86 650/700g with a limit of 2.

Siggi's and Liberte yogurt for $6.47 with a limit of 4 for select varieties but the deal is not as good as the Oikos.
